Two separate committees combined in 2007; to serve and add to
the membership through the use of Greeters and Ribbon Cutting and other

| DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARDS BANQUET | |
| PURPOSE:
An annual banquet to
honor community members and educators that have given their time and
service to our area. Nominations are solicited throughout the community and a dinner is held at Shadow Hills Country Club the first week in November. Each year the following categories are honored: Educators of the Year, Youth Service, Distinguished Service, Outstanding Citizens and Lifetime Achievement. | PARADES OF LIGHTS Held every year the first week in DECEMBER | |
| PURPOSE:
To coordinate and plan the area’s annual
Light Parades. The Light Parades are a community service event held the first weekend of December. The Parade is in Junction City on Friday, Harrisburg on Saturday and Coburg on Sunday. Floats, trucks, RV’s, farm equipment and animals all decorated in lights join together for a festive start to the holiday season. All entries are free.
